Jun: We survived the day! After far too many hours in a treacherous pair of 4-inch, pencil-thin platform heels and a fuschia "flamingo" dress (the photographer jokingly called us his flamingos), my feet were dying and I was relieved to be able to sit down for dinner.
Ah, yes. There are the gold, faux bamboo chairs that I have seen far too many times on TLC and WEtv wedding shows. Overall, the wedding was lovely and very bright in a big D way. By the reception, she teared up, saying everything was "perfect". I guess that is all that matters.

Jun: M and I escaped the confines of the house, restaurants and the car, making out to check out the antiques stores along North Riverfront Boulevard. Despite the multitude of furniture, household items and even various taxidermied animals - a lynx, a rooster, reptiles and a calf were among them - the thing I found most interesting was this lamp. We have found tons of similar items in the Northeast, but to find a Boston-specific tourists' lamp in Dallas just seemed completely out of place. Small world.

Jun: I fell in love with a black and tan chihuahua today. She was so tiny, and we immediately bonded. Sadly, I do not like to support most pet stores, she was $1400, and perhaps most importantly, I am not quite ready to have a puppy. Maybe after we move to Houston...maybe?

Jun: M completed his gift to his mom and BM today. Of course, big D gushed like crazy about it; however, standing at 60 by 72 inches, you can't help but to be impressed as well.

Jun: Five years (that's our 60th mensiversary) with M today! We spent a relaxing morning together, had our standard fare from Rod Dee for lunch, and then ventured out to the South End for some tapas and wine at Toro and to grab dessert at Flour Bakery & Cafe. I forgot how much I love Toro. Note to self: go again before moving day.
