C: 17-21 Jun 2010

17 Jun: I just got back to Boston two days ago, and I'm already heading out again for a family vacation and/or birthday bash for R1 and Father's Day. I haven't taken trains for travel since the Thanksgiving we spent with R1's in-laws in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago, and then even longer before that - the long-distance train ride R, LP, and I took from Richmond to Boston in high school. Today: South Station to WIL...and a short ride to West Chester.

18 Jun: I ended up not packing my running shoes, so R agreed to take a walk with me/go exploring while R1 and H ran around. A short ways from their house is a horse farm, so we decided to stop for a minute and make friends.

19 Jun: Funland at Dewey's Beach, DE. As H described it, "I feel like people here are a bunch of Jersey Shore rejects." Haha. As accurate as it may be, the weather was perfect, and the day was wonderfully relaxing and filled with fun times with the fam. It's been far too long since our family had a proper vacation together.

20 Jun: While waiting for dinner to be finished for R1's birthday and Father's Day dinner, Q and I rocked a game of dominoes against R and the boy. It could have just been beginner's luck, but we were still proud of ourselves.

C: On the...tracks...again. Penn Station to South Station with a very long wait in New Haven because of a fire. Annoying. Thankfully, I managed to avoid having a seat mate the entire way back.
