R: Spent the day with D and her boyfriend R since I hadn't seen them in a long time. R is looking for a new place, preferrably in Park Slope so we all hopped on the train for the dreaded - for me - ride to Brooklyn. Okay, so it's not so bad after all. The nice thing about the outer boroughs is that there are actual neighborhoods and people tend to stay longer in those neighborhoods unlike in Manhattan where rent increases and the culture of one upmanship cause people our age to constantly move. R had only spent a year in his current Hell's Kitchen apartment before deciding to seek greener (literally) pastures in BK.

We ended up exploring most of the northern neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and I was surprised at how much I recognized. I still couldn't find my way around any of the other boroughs like I can Manhattan, but apparently I've actually out and about more than I thought.

Eventually D, R and I settled on a Turkish place for dinner and I spent a lot of the night puzzling over this painting. Once again my photo taking skills were impeded by my embarrassment about taking photos, but I'm open to suggestions about what is going on in this one.

C: Half-way through our trip back to Boston. Despite still having issues with TD (which very rudely woke me up at 4AM Friday), I was managing as well as one could when flying in 7-hour chunks. After taking advantage of the showers and other amenities in the Lufthansa business lounge in Frankfurt (we made it this time!), Sugarland and I decided to be productive and prepared our trip presentations for Monday. Don't I look professional?
