R: What you see here is a Sunday's worth of accomplishments: clean apartment, clean clothes, terrible television, poor-man's dinner and a shit ton of work to do before Monday. Oh yeah, feels good.

C: M and I drove out to Houston late morning. Though we had no concrete plans for our trip to our new hometown, we knew that we would: #1 find my school; and #2 start scouting the area for good neighborhoods and apartment complexes. We spent the better part of the day doing both of these things. As he did in Austin, M quickly identified the modern buildings in each neighborhood, flashing his camera like an architecture paparazzo. For the most part, Houston appears to be a fairly clean city (this is high priority in the Chioma-Quality-of-Life index) and my school's buildings and nearby apartments and residential complexes are relatively new, too.
Here is part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC) campus - the newly opened Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences and Research buildings. Look at those beautiful open skies!
