R: Today my coworker was selling handmade silver jewelry made by a couple of her students. I was mostly perusing out of curiosity since I get overwhelmed with too much jewelry - I try to keep my choices limited so I don't freak out every morning. There were definitely some very pretty pieces, but I couldn't justify buying them. But then I saw these - for only $5! - and I changed my mind.
And the Royal Shakespeare Company is coming to New York - perfect!
C: I'm trying a different look, which basically involves the use of lipstick. I rarely wear makeup; I only feel compelled to put it on when I'm out with a bunch of women. People tend to notice my eyes first, so typically I do the whole eyeshadow/eyeliner/mascara thing to highlight my favorite feature. However, the winter has been particularly tough on my lips this year, and in an effort to keep them juicy and smooth, I have found that lipstick is a far better moisturizer than any medicated lip balm. Of course, not just any neutral color will do. I picked up three different shades of bright reds bordering on fuchsia. It's Valentine's Week, afterall.
