R: The generosity that people possess never ceases to amaze me. At my agency, we have a van that is used to conduct business errands as well as transport our participants for events and personal errands (for our seniors). The driver of the van is a very friendly and unassuming man named Andrew, whom I've talked to but know very little about beyond his name and occupation. Who knew that his family owned a Panera Bread restaurant or that he sometimes fills his own van with huge bags of baguettes, loaves, buns, and pastries for participants of the Riis? Not I. That is until now. As a favor to B, Andrew gave us first dibs on the goods because they go fast. And you can see why.

Mmmm, breaaad.

C: Remember that saw M bought earlier this month? Well, he didn't actually put it to use for this (a handsaw was sufficient), but regardless, I believe its purchase motivated him to get this completed for Athena. So here it is, in all its nearly-completed glory. She seems a little tentative of walking into it right now; I suspect this is because M kept shooing her away while the paint dried. However, M will be adding a planter box on the second level (on the back wall, half under the roof, half not), in which I will be planting catnip...and I'm sure by then she will be more than willing to climb inside of it. Is it wrong for me to lure her with feline maryjane?
