R: Today is my friend's wedding day, which is always kind of surreal. But I was even more disoriented thanks to a nauseating trip to PA this afternoon, which was compounded by dehydration from drinking the night before (not smart). Nevertheless, I was struck by what a lovely intimate ceremony it was, and how beautiful P looked in her wedding dress. I'm generally not impressed by brides, especially young brides who might as well be going to prom. P, despite her youth, did not look like a little girl playing dress up. She wore a gorgeous vintage-looking dress with very simple accessories and no makeup. Other girls try so hard and would kill for that kind of timeless beauty.
C: Earthfest 2010, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, held at the Hatch Memorial Shell. Mon and I spent the afternoon wading through the crowds, reminiscing about Wellesley, talking about our futures with our current boyfriends and snacking on the free goodies scattered among tents along the Charles. What a lovely day.
