C: We were having quite the thunderstorm earlier today, so I thought to check our flights before heading out: on time. Confident that all was as planned, I met Sugarland at the airport just after 2PM, in anticipation of a 4:50PM international flight. However, all was not as scheduled. A Lufthansa representative greeted me cheerfully while processing my ticket, only to reveal that the flight had been delayed for 3 hours. Freaking volcano. Again.

After an unnecessary extra three hours in the lackluster business lounge (the FRA one is sooo much nicer), we finally boarded our plane. Despite the shortcomings of the lounge and the fact that we wouldn't be able to enjoy a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt's glamorous airport after all, we did have the business class three-course dinner to look forward to...and of course, the complimentary drinks.
