R: It's the last week of the month, which means party time at the Riis. Unfortunately it also means saying good-bye to BK who leaves on Friday. Big W asked us to do something extra for her at the end of the month birthday party so L and I made a trip out to Steinway street for supplies. No one likes to party like L likes to party so I had to keep an eye on her. Talked her down from buying excessive items like grass hula skirts...

C: I just came from saying a temporary adieu to Lina; she got accepted into law school (congrats!), subsequently quit her job and thus, has to move back to Miami while she waits for final word from other schools to make her decision. Just before I left, we were having a heated discussion on mystery meat and questionable production of such products, namely beef. On my way home, this ad taunted me while I waited for the T. Mmm...burger.
