Afterwards we treated ourselves to a few beers and Japanese food in the East Village. Hmmm...
Though it makes me thankful that my sisters have been gracious enough to let us choose our own dresses so far, the dress is not terrible, but definitely not something I would pick out for my own bridesmaids. The color isn't so much an issue, despite the fact that she said she was looking for something neutral. I hate to see what she thinks is loud, if iridescent fuschia is neutral. The top has built-in cups which make my chest do a weird conical thing, and it has an asymmetrical peplum skirt that tapers on the left to make room for a giant rosette ("It's very Spanish, don't you think?"). Also, she seems to be convinced that the peplum and rosette are great for women with larger hips, but that is a general misconception by women with very narrow hips and no bottoms. Overall, it could be much worse, but I do think that maybe it's just too many elements at once for my general taste.
