R: This is what it looked like when I woke up this morning to go swimming. The little white light is the moon and th big yellow one is the obnoxious street light that got in the way of capturing it.

C: M and I went for an early evening walk around the Washington Square neighborhood after we both got out of work today. We searched M's iPhone Map for a tiny spot of green among the houses and apartment buildings and made our way up the hill to a secret (well, it was a secret as far as we knew it) playground. Naturally, we went for the tire swing (which turned out to be a fake tire...very disappointing), and then for the regular swings, which creaked like I imagine the floorboards in a scary old witch's house would sound, if stray cats were living under them. Don't pretend like that didn't make sense to you.

We were swinging along on our creepy, screechy swings when a pale and lanky man entered the opposite end of the park, by himself. The sun was almost completely down by then, so of course we found him to be highly suspicious; everyone knows you're not supposed to be in a playground after dark. We stopped swinging to keep an eye on him.

He quickly cut across the park, heading directly toward us. I could see him clutching his right-hand jacket pocket rather tightly - before I knew it, M had his arm out protectively across me, and the stranger was standing directly in front of us. He reached into his pocket and pulled out...little baggies full of - oh. Uhhh. Thanks, but no thanks, dude.

Okay so that last part was made up, but I thought I'd make it exciting today.
