R: It's been a long time - for me at least - since I've spent a Saturday night in St. Mark's. Since many of my friends are Asian, I used to end up there two or three weekends out of the month. This year I've spent a lot less time there, and when I returned to the usual Taisho haunts tonight I was suprised by the diversity of the clientele...and of the population on the street. I don't know what to make of it.
C: Made it down to Haymarket by mid-day. Produce should always be so fresh and inexpensive. What a food oasis!
